Helping you find YOUR right way to feed your babies is one of the great joys of my life.

Before I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, I received my Certified Breastfeeding Specialist credential in 2019 through Lactation Education Resources, and started worked as a postpartum doula in 2017. And, certainly my journey to understanding the intricacies of breast/chest-feeding began with my own two children.

It has been a great honor to learn from and work with Nicole Peluso, Barbara Ryan, Carrie Dean, Leigh Anne O’Connor, and Paula Utilla and Nicole Birch through the IBCLC Clinical Internship program at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Jamaica, Queens, and to apply their collective knowledge and modalities to how I work with families today. My experience covers feeding of all ages - from prenatal education to feeding toddlers. I have experience with feeding multiples, and working with families in and upon return home from the NICU

An initial lactation consult is typically a two-hour visit. I bring a hospital grade baby scale for weighted feeds, and we can (and likely will!) discuss everything from the role of the endocrine system to TOTs to pumping to the role of nutrition and sleep. Follow ups can be scheduled virtually or in person as needed, and I am available to clients via text or phone as well. I am in-network with United Health Care. For other insurances I will provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

I currently work with families in Westchester County, NY, lower Putnam County, NY, and some parts of Fairfield County, CT. If you are concerned you cannot afford lactation services, let’s talk.

I connected with Alex within the first few minutes of chatting with her! She’s open, honest, direct and focused on helping me meet my postpartum goals, without judgement. Alex helped us settle into a new groove at home, while also providing great lactation consulting, and references to other support when we needed it. I’m incredibly grateful to have met Alex to help us transition during these initial overwhelming postpartum weeks!

  • Emily, New Canaan

Alex is so kind and compassionate, she was exactly what I needed in those days after delivery to feel confident again in feeding my baby. She answered every question with care and has helped me put a plan together that I feel comfortable with. She doesn’t judge you at all and really meets you where you in terms of how much or how little you want to breastfeed. I’ve seen several IBCLCs and she is by far the best!

Alex is an incredible Lactation Consultant. I had my first child in April of 2023 and had very low expectations with respect to breastfeeding. Alex's gentle, kind and open approach was exactly what I needed. Her can-do attitude coupled with her considerable expertise is the perfect combination. Breastfeeding has been an empowering, freeing and easeful experience for me. I credit so much of this to Alex and send her contact information to every new mom I stumble upon.
